That morning, we joined a small-group Rome cooking class — not realizing we’d leave feeling like part of a Roman family.
We rolled fresh pasta, stirred a simmering tomato sauce, and laughed with other travellers as the kitchen filled with the smell of garlic, basil, and pure magic.
By the time we all sat down to eat, pouring wine and passing plates around the table, it didn’t feel like a class at all. It felt like lunch at a friend’s home — warm, fun, and full of good food.

We love the modern studios found all across the city, though some prefer learning in authentic Roman restaurants. With classes available throughout the day, it’s easy to find one that fits your schedule.

Excellent pasta and tiramisu making class in Rome
"Marina was an amazing teacher! Our class involved making fettuccine, ravioli, and tiramisu. Our family was a family of 5 with 1 child who was 4 years old. Marina was an expert in pasta making and added very practical tips for each dish. She provided assistance where needed but also let you experience for yourself. She made it a lot of fun and educational.
The pasta portions were huge and we even took some back to have for the next day. For our fettuccine you had the choice of carbonara, pesto, and cacio e pepe. All were delicious and recipes were provided afterwards. Marina somehow balanced teaching the class and helping our young daughter finish her pasta. She is an amazing teacher and we would take this class again if in Rome."
